What we are aiming for
This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That means text meets a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background and interface elements meet 3:1, every control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, focus is always visible, and nothing depends on colour alone to make sense.
What is already true
- Every page has one main heading and a heading structure you can navigate by.
- Interactive controls show a visible focus ring, and the focus order follows the reading order.
- Forms label every field, and an error message names the field it belongs to.
- Motion respects your system's reduced-motion setting.
- Standalone controls and links have a touch target at least 44 pixels on their smallest side. A link inside a sentence takes the size of the text around it, which is the exception the guideline itself makes.
What is not, and we would rather say so
- Some clauses on the policy pages are not settled yet. Each one says so where it sits, and says what holds until it is settled, rather than being left blank or quietly finished-looking.
- The illustrations on this site are decorative and carry short alternative text; a few carry none where the surrounding text already says what the image shows.
Telling us about a problem
If something on this site is difficult or impossible to use, we want to hear about it, and a report that names the page and the device is the most useful kind.
There is no dedicated accessibility inbox yet, and no email address on this site to send one to. Until there is, the phone number in the footer is the channel that exists; say accessibility and the page you were on.
A formal accessibility statement with a published review date does not yet exist. This page is what does, and it is kept current with the site rather than reviewed on a cycle.
